SEWARD, NE / ACCESS Newswire / July 1, 2025 / "Let Freedom Reign" sculpture will be representing the spirit of freedom, and debut at the largest small-town 4th of July celebration in America. This photo represents the shorter Parade version of the sculpture. The permanent sculpture will have the figures standing on a larger mountain top base with "Let Freedom Reign!" carved in the stone. Meg Edmonson, owner of Meg's Art World, collaborated with Patrick Keough of Fiberglass Animals and Objects to create this sculpture.
Seward, Nebraska, designated by Congress as "America's Official Fourth of July City-Small Town USA," population goes from 7,650 to over 40,000 during the 3-day celebration. Beginning in 1868, the community now has 50 local organizations contributing to the family-friendly festivities.
As our country stands on the threshold of a freedom revolution, this sculpture reflects the joy and relief of this victory. Meg Edmonson created this sculpture to encourage freedom at the individual level where the real mindset of the country occurs.
Seward's own Patrick Keough built the sculpture designed by Meg. After this event, Meg plans to find a permanent location for the sculpture to honor this historic era of new freedom in America. She is also open to duplicating the sculpture to display at numerous locations.
Let Freedom Reign!

Like a dog wagging its tail or a cat purring, our bodies also have natural responses to joy. When we experience the joy of newfound freedom, we often move our bodies into positions that express the excitement of our spirit.
Joy, especially, is triggered when oppression has been lifted and we are free to express our true self, our true spirit. The four figures in the sculpture are meant to represent the human spirit expressing the joy of freedom.
When we first sense freedom, the impact of our spirit rushing in moves our body in common ways. I call these four postures: Hallelujah, Bursting Joy, Grateful, and Fantastic.
Hallelujah - In the posture Hallelujah (Victorious- Relief), we throw our arms up and arch our back while bracing with our knees. It is as if we are being freed of a burden. First throwing it off then pulling our power back in. We often see this when an athlete is victorious after great effort. Even when blind, our bodies react this way in response to feeling free of some oppression.
Bursting Joy - The posture Bursting Joy shows us jumping up and down. This helps us adjust to the overwhelming burst of joy and excitement when our spirit rushes back in. Typically, we choose this expression more as children than as adults. When oppressed, our energy field will collapse tightly around our chest, but when we feel free, we can experience joy. Our spirit rushes back in and expands our personal energy field widely around, below, and above us. People with large energy fields can appear radiant with light.
Grateful - When we feel the freedom to obtain our desires, an automatic sense of thankfulness occurs, often directed toward the universe's spiritual beings who are assisting us. In the posture Grateful, we raise our arms up in prayer position and look towards the sky to give thanks for our prayers being heard and answered.
Fantastic - When we are completely free, we are liberated from fears and restraints, and we feel more alive and exuberant. We feel safe and empowered to receive whatever wonders life has to offer next. We often express this enthusiasm by throwing our arms out wide to absorb the amazing moment. We sometimes see this posture Fantastic when someone experiences a powerful sense of freedom at the ocean or on a mountain top.

Meet the artist Meg Edmonson
From the time she was fifteen, Meg has been on a lifelong quest to understand the mysteries of the human condition and the deeper meaning of existence. Her journey has led her to earn a master’s degree in psychology, devour hundreds of books, and attend countless workshops and conferences spanning spirituality, philosophy, psychology, and the paranormal. Along the way, she has also traveled to sacred and powerful places around the world, each experience adding new depth to her perspective.
Meg lives in Minnesota with her husband of 25 years and their six cats, balancing her role as CEO of multiple businesses with her passion for creative expression. Her eclectic path has included founding a successful tie-dye business, working as a guidance counselor, and serving as a college administrator. Today, she has returned to her first love—art—and brings together her wisdom, experiences, and creativity in 1,000 Participles of Love. Through this work, she hopes to inspire future generations with uplifting language for one of life’s greatest forces: love.

The core philosophy of a culture can be seen by their use of vocabulary. A culture focused on conquering will have a much different vocabulary than one focused on creating harmony. The Hopi American Indian tribe do not have a word for time. The Eskimo people have 23 different words to describe snow. Ancient Latin had over 1,000 words to describe the soul.
